Last week I was asked to comment on a local photo exhibition for the daily Jyllands-Posten. The exhibition "Brilliant City" made by the photographer Inge-Lise Rasmussen is shown in January at Kunstbygningen in Aarhus. Inge-Lise Rasmussens pictures are showing the architectural consequences of the development in China. She is mostly working within her previous style showing city landscapes, but is also including people in some of these new pictures. In the article for Jyllands-Posten I stated that Inge-Lise Rasmussen is better at landscapes than at shooting people. Her city landscapes are beautiful and the technical quality showing lot's of details is an important part of the experience. Unfortunately Inge-Lise Rasmussen repeats herself by showing a lot of similar pictures. A tighter selection would have improved the exhibition.
