Working for twelve hours the 16 participants at The Nordic Master Class have had an inspiring first day at the workshop. The morning began by defining The Welfare States - the theme for the workshop. "You say that you're living in Utopia, but you all look so serious and discontent. How's that?" Guest lecturer Fred Ritchin asked. This kicked off the debate and the participants looked within themselves to find their fear, hope and trust for the future of the welfare states.
The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent on discussing the participants own pictures. Fred Ritchin managed to open their eyes to new ways of story telliing and editing.
The next couple of days will be spent on the ideas for photo essays, that the participants are going to shoot within the next couple of months.
